I just had to share and tell you about the great time I had at the Fearless Commerce networking event this past Saturday (July 20). Fearless Commerce is a nationally recognized company that was founded by two dynamic, “fearless” young Black women, Camille Thomas and Shawntera Hardy, whose vision is to elevate Black Women business owners through the production of their magazine, Fearless Commerce, books, and live events.
As a member of the first class (2017) of Fearless Commerce honorees, I was thrilled to be invited back to participate in this event, which included both the 2017 and 2018 class cohorts, along with aspiring and newly established Black women entrepreneurs. We had a full day to cover some topics from the founders’ Fearless Commerce Playbook that reflect three stages of business development:
Launch your idea—develop both a roadmap to start the business and “courage muscles” to keep it going
Land—by charting a course to build a brand strategy
Level Up—after establishing your business and experiencing success, develop your legacy plan for future growth of talent, of finances, or both
I got a photo with three of my sorority sisters, Miquel Purvis McMoore (Founder/CEO, kp Companies), Trenna Ross (Real Estate Asset Manager, Hennepin County), and Joelle Allen (Vice President/Principal, kp Companies).
